Tipo de trabajo
short term (2-3 week) assignment
Acerca del trabajo
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, over four and a half million Ukrainians have fled the country, including many LGBTIQ individuals. Many are traveling to countries that neighbor Ukraine, but these countries are filling up fast and are not particularly LGBTIQ-friendly. Therefore, many displaced LGBTIQ Ukrainians are seeking to relocate to Berlin, where their identity is recognized and protected.
ORAM – Organization for Refuge, Asylum & Migration is a US-based nonprofit that seeks to protect and empower LGBTIQ refugees. ORAM is also registered in Germany with an office and staff in Berlin. We are currently providing safe, short-term housing for displaced LGBTIQ Ukrainians and are launching a program to provide longer-term housing, too, starting with a housing collective in Berlin.
ORAM is searching for a communications and graphic design expert to help us develop materials to promote the launch of our long-term housing program and to conceptualize the housing collective's physical space and brand. This is a short term (2-3 week) assignment and time is of the essence, so we need someone who can start ASAP.
Los deberes incluyen, entre otros, los siguientes:
Design communications materials (ex: print and digital flyers, pitches for donors, decks, advertisements, one-sheets, etc.)
Develop a brand that encapsulates ORAM’s mission and the purpose of/demand for the long-term housing
Create general design concepts for the housing collective
Help communicate fundraising needs and achievements to potential donors and supporters
Las habilidades deseadas incluyen, entre otras, las siguientes:
A strong portfolio of LGBTIQ-related communications design and graphic design work
Skills in co-creation and human centered design
Nonprofit and advocacy design work
Fluency in English and German
Proven design experience with and around diverse communities
Knowledge and understanding of issues facing the LGBTIQ community
Experience in the design of space and interiors
Berlin-based preferred
