International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP)

Iraq

Servicios

The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) provides free legal help to refugees and displaced people. IRAP’s litigation department brings systemic litigation to help refugees and others in need of a safe home. We believe that all people should have the right to a safe passage and the opportunity to thrive. RAP builds non-traditional, non-partisan coalitions to advocate for the rights of refugees and displaced persons. And they also play a major role in including refugees in U.S. immigration legislation, advocating for procedural protections for refugees, implementing trauma-sensitive policies for LGBTI individuals and refugees who are survivors of torture, and extending protections for Iraqi and Afghan wartime allies of the U.S. Government.

Misión

The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) organizes law students and lawyers to develop and enforce a set of legal and human rights for refugees and displaced persons. Mobilizing direct legal aid, litigation, and systemic advocacy, IRAP serves the world’s most persecuted individuals and empowers the next generation of human rights leaders.
