Women's Initiative for Self Empowerment

Girls Getting Ahead in Leadership (GGAL) is an academic, leadership and college preparation program for underserved and at-risk immigrant/refugee girls in 6th-12th grade. The Women's Empowerment and Leadership (WeLEAD) program was started in 2014 as a means to help immigrant and refugee women navigate post-secondary education and prepare them for the workforce. They also provide healthy relationships and parent encouragement workshops.
